New Solartron Non-Contact Laser Triangulation Sensors launch

We are launching two new cutting-edge compact Solartron Non-Contact Laser Triangulation Sensors, bringing enhanced accuracy and efficiency to manufacturing automation process control.

The new sensors offer gauging and displacement management technology users unique precision and performance, and full compatibility with other Solartron software and systems.

How our Non-Contact Laser Sensors are improving performance

Our new non-contact laser triangulation sensors are designed to bring greater accuracy, reliability and efficiency to gauging and displacement measurement.

Two versions are available to meet different measurement requirements and budgets: an entry-level model and a mid-level model. The measurement range for the entry-level sensor is 25mm and 10mm for the mid-level sensor.

The compact size of our new non-contact laser triangulation sensors, at a width of just 20mm, makes them highly versatile and they can be easily used in a wide range of measurement environments.

Furthermore, with accuracy of better than 12µm, the sensors are capable of the highly accurate measurement of distance and thickness on numerous surfaces, without the risk of object damage.



Our Non-Contact Laser Sensors: a commitment to quality

Other benefits of the new sensors are their ability to deliver precise measurement of moving parts, with a sampling rate of up to 4kHz, and their performance at scale: up to 200 lasers can be connected to one Orbit Digital Measurement Network.

In terms of compatibility, the new sensors are simple to control with the Orbit Network and can be easily integrated with other Solartron sensors and systems, including Orbit Digital Readouts, Orbit Gauge Software and Orbit GSC software. In addition, the new sensors are easy to connect to personal computers (PCs) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Enhanced reliability is another advantage of the Solartron Non-Contact Laser Triangulation Sensors, with the entry-level model offering repeatability at 2.5µm and the mid-level sensor offering repeatability at 0.15µm.
